“Surfboard - Free as a Bird” was an absolute please to create. It is one of the brightest, most joyful pieces I’ve created and is my first artwork on a surfboard. Having worked on it over a few months, it became my symbol of freedom and beacon of hope for a brighter future during these uncertain times. This surfboard was originally destined for landfill so creating a beautiful artwork that will last forever was an added bonus. The artwork has been sealed for display purposes and is not recommended for using in the ocean. It comes with the timber stand as shown in the first image. ‘Embrace’ evolved with such a beautiful flow and was a real pleasure to draw. The inspiration for this artwork was purely intuitive and is the result of my meditative drawing practice. This is one of my all-time favourite artworks with the heavy black areas in the centre and outer rings balancing the delicate centre design perfectly. The original artwork was created with a combination of pigment liner pens ranging in size from 0.05mm – 1.0mm and is the result of over 40 hours of drawing.- Giclée fine art print on 100% cotton rag paper (310gsm)
